Plan Your Visit:

Answers To Basic Questions

What Should I Expect When I Visit Calvary?

Calvary is a church family. We seek to fulfill the New Testament example of unity and community in the church. When you visit Calvary this Sunday, expect a warm greeting from our family and our leadership - we want to make you feel welcome!

Where Do My Kids Go?

We provide Sunday School classes for children from nursery age all the way through high school. During the main services, we provide a nursery where parents can take their children and stay with them during the service. Both the nursery and fellowship hall have TVs where parents and children can watch the service if they are unable to stay in the sanctuary.

How Should I Dress?

Here at Calvary, we believe that our outward appearance is secondary to the condition of our hearts (1 Samuel 16:7). What matters most is that you bring your heart on Sunday ready to praise God! We don't have a dress code, but you can expect to see anything from smart casual to suits and ties on a Sunday morning.

What is the Preaching Like?

All scripture is breathed out by God and is profitable for us (2 Timothy 3:16), so our pastoral team focuses on Biblical, expositional, and sequential preaching. Simply put, that means that we preach verse-by-verse through the books of the Bible to ensure that we don't neglect certain passages or miss the context of what we're studying from God's word.

What Is Your Worship Like?

Our goal in our worship services is to glorify God in our music and singing (Psalm 150:6). We seek to foster a genuine worship environment. We provide two different worship services: a contemporary service at 8:30 AM and a traditional service at 11:00 AM.

In our contemporary service, we sing modern worship songs that you'll recognize from many different contemporary groups and on the radio.

In our traditional service, we turn in our Brethren hymnals and enjoy praising God through many traditional Brethren hymns both familiar and unfamiliar.
